The Accidental Ensemble is a mixed strings and winds ensemble in Ely, Minnesota that
performs music from Early and Baroque times through the Modern era. The
goals of the Accidental Ensemble are to grow as musicians, encourage
other individuals of all ages in their lifelong musical growth, create
performance opportunities for young people and adults, and to be a resource to the Ely community and surrounding area.

The Accidental Ensemble was a fiscal year 2013 recipient of a Career Development grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council (www.aracouncil.org) which is funded in part with money from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008; an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature; and The McKnight Foundation.
